The "Hybrid" design refers to its dual-action kill-and-catch mechanism. Instead of using an open electric grid that "shatters" insects, the FlyVore uses high-intensity UV-A light to draw insects into a concealed high-tack adhesive glue board system.

Traditional zappers can throw insect fragments into the air upon impact, which is a major hygiene risk in kitchens or hospitals. The FlyVore captures insects whole on a glue board and keeps them hidden from view, making it more hygienic and aesthetically pleasing for customer-facing areas.

Yes. It uses no pesticides or harmful chemicals, and its "no-fragment" design makes it ideal for use in food manufacturing, restaurants, and kitchens where maintaining high sanitation standards is required.

You should check the glue boards regularly and replace them once they are full. Depending on the level of insect activity, this typically happens every few weeks. Many units come bundled with replacement boards to keep you covered long-term.

To ensure maximum attraction, UV-A tubes should be replaced every 12 months. While the tubes may still light up after a year, the specific ultraviolet wavelength that attracts flies diminishes over time.

For the best results, mount the unit 1 to 3 meters from the area you want to protect, away from competing strong light sources like windows. It is designed specifically for indoor use.

Yes. It is lightweight (approx. 1.4 kg) and easy to wall-mount. Always unplug the device before cleaning, and use a dry cloth to remove dust from the housing. Never use water to clean the electrical components.
